Here’s some of the stuff we’re receiving right now. I don’t want to blog out too hard here, so check out the pics and know there’s plenty more. Please come check it out. Hopefully Jake and Jeff have it all priced and put out by the time I’m done this post. Woot! Volcom Ryan Sheckler hoody: Supra Skytops in white leather: new Vaidens: and the new Double Es:
Hey everyone! Did you know that when I put up the photos of the snow team below that I forgot our longest-running Alcatraz snow team member, Cory Gallon? I was just like “peep the new peeps.” Who the hell forgets Cory Gallon? Speaking of new, yesterday Jake Bonnetta informed me that Diana Sandru has joined the Alcatraz team. We’re stoked! Diana has been killing it in contests lately and will be joining the team tonight. Am I forgetting anything? Oh…just this video that Trevor from Dialogue was cool enough to share with us. This is the kind of muck that went down last Thursday at Polson:
I don’t really have anything super awesome to report today, I’m just putting up this metal enthusiast to try and take the curse off the video that has been posted today in the Hello Newman column.
Oh yeah! Don’t forget that we’ve been working with the Blind Five guys to host Monday Mayhem at Dagmar every Monday since mid-January now. Come out tonight to demo gear from Tech Nine and Stepchild!
It’s been super fun in the last week watching the newly-minted Alcatraz snow team get rad together! Last Thursday night the team won our night at the Battle of The Shops held at Polson Pier in Toronto. We had a super fun night and encourage you to come join us for the finals this Thursday night. Maybe you never heard of some of these guys, so let’s make some introductions, shall we?First, meet Bradley Hesson from Bowmanville. This dude also got 2nd place at the Oshawa Ski Club contest this weekend: Also keeping it local is our man Tristan Harber. He works at the park out at the OSC and kept getting an uncountable amount of press variations on this box at Polson that night: Matt Bujok is new to Durham Region (moving here this week) but has been ripping hard at contests all over Ontario this winter. Be his friend on Facebook just so you can see the video of his double backflip over gap attempt. We met Yuri at the Dagmar contest last weekend. It was cool: the dude was pretty much dressed like a giant Hi-Liter marker! Sid Gojer was wearing one of our purple bandanas on Thursday night when his manly beard starting to scrape some of the silver ink off! He was Sid Silver! Haw? Haw. So, if you like skateboarding, snowboarding and good times come out to Polson Pier with us this Thursday night.
This has nothing to do with the shop but I had to post it due to how awesome it is. For those who don’t know, a few years ago John Cardiel was involved in an accident that broke his back. He was told he would most likely never be able to walk again. This photo was shot 3 weeks ago.
Man, these blogs are sure popular these days, aren’t they? Whoosh! Anyone remember this? Funny. Oh yeah, lolcats contest ends today and the only ones we’ve received so far are not original. C’mon folks….you’ve got it in you!
People keep sending us Lolcats that they didn’t make so…it’s like…even though they’re really funny, you can’t win that way. Bake up some new stuff and fire ‘em over!
