Newman has been alluding to this for a few days and frankly all of us at the shop have been talking a load of crap about getting it done for a few weeks now, but Newman went out and grabbed the bull by the horns last night.

Huge thanks to all the firefighters and other emergency workers who have been battling a serious blaze for about 10 hours so far today a couple doors west of us in downtown Bowmanville. Here’s the scene when I was last there a few hours ago:
These firefighters are the real deal folks: we are all lucky that they do what they do.
The Bowmanville shop is closed today and I don’t know when we can get back open due to being smoked out and such. Sorry for the inconvenience: we’d be extra happy to take extra good care of you at the Oshawa location.
Special Bonus Goose Update!
The mother goose in the back parking lot in Oshawa has moved a hockey ball into her nest along with the rest of her eggs which, by the way, she is not counting until they have hatched. Wonder what comes out of a hockey ball if you sit on it for a couple months?

So…Monday was kinda foggy, really rainy, really wet. Not a very nice day, right? Wrong! For those lucky enough to be at the Top Secret Schred with TJ day on Monday, it was totally epic and possibly the most fun day of the year. Dagmar was cool enough to re-open the park just for our little session and then open the Dagbar for the BBQ and party that happened afterward. Capita/Union/Defcon/Deeluxe pro TJ Schneider was kind enough to join us on his way out to Shakedown in Quebec this weekend. If a picture is worth a thousand words, you could really get bound up doing the math on the picture/words count for episode 27 of TJ Schneider’s Snowboard Realms. Watch for things to get reallll Mad Max-y toward the end with a special guest shot by Mikey “big ole set of donuts up in this bitch” Scott. Also, look for guest appearances by PunkassSteph, the Traz snowboard team, Natalie Gough and many of Ontario’s other top riders as well as a frackin’ trick by none other than Ryan Howsam!
